Meet Vael's Inaugural Print
Beauty has never needed to be delicate.
Some of the loveliest things are born from transformation, decay, and starting again.
It felt right that Vael should begin here.
Moth & Midnight is our inaugural print: a garden caught somewhere between bloom and ruin. Peonies and trailing leaves unfold across a blue-black ground, tangled with moths, skulls, and delicate golden webs.
From a distance, it is lush and romantic. Up close, it becomes stranger. Darker. More intricate.
The moths speak to transformation. The flowers bloom alongside reminders of impermanence. Life and death, softness and shadow, beauty and unease all exist within the same garden, as they do within us.
Moth & Midnight began as artwork, not a stock fabric.
Its florals, moths, skulls, and fine gold webs were composed into an original Vael print for this collection, then scaled for the sweep of the duster so the imagery could live across the full length of the garment.
100% bamboo lyocell.
Smooth and exceptionally soft against the skin, with enough weight to fall beautifully while remaining fluid in motion.
Its subtle luster gives the print depth and richness without stiffness or bulk.
Designed to Move
The shape changes with you.
Bamboo lyocell gives the duster its fluid drape: light enough to catch the air, substantial enough to fall back into place. Deep side slits give the long silhouette room to open, fold, and move around the body rather than simply hanging from it as you walk, turn, or stand still.
